Public consultation: New transit options

(Wednesday, March 4, 2008) BARRHAVEN -- The BBIA will take advantage of an opportunity tomorrow night for public comments on the city's new transit options.

City staff presented four choices to Council on Monday, including a downtown tunnel and various combinations of bus and light rail transit.

Public consultation on the future of transportation in Ottawa has already begun, with a meeting scheduled for tomorrow night at John McCrae High School. BBIA Executive Director Andrea Steenbakkers and other Board members will attend.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with discussion groups getting underway at 7 p.m.
